I just read an article on today’s Daily Nation and I must admit the first family keeps impressing me with each single day. Right from the father-the cool president, Uhuru Kenyatta who makes
a point to be part of all events and gets actively involved in matters involving the youth, the beautiful first lady who is so calm and classy and supports good causes, gorgeous first daughter, Ngina Kenyatta who joined the anti-jigger campaign and now first son Muhoho Kenyatta, the 17-year old son of President Uhuru Kenyatta, according to the Nation is the creative brains behind the youngest design group to showcase at tonight’s inaugural Kenya Fashion Week.
Nicknamed Mo by his friends, the young lad is the co-founder of the Nomadic brand and he started off by designing a pair of trousers from khanga material two years ago.

“I decided to get some pants made, some kikoi pants, but I saw some khanga material so I decided to make it out of that,” he says “My mum said it wasn’t a good idea as khanga was for women but I went out wearing them and people really liked them.” He explains,
Speaking with the Daily Nation, Muhoho continues to explain that the reception the trousers which have bold colours and patterns got encouraged him to partner with his fellow studeents at Peponi school, Nairobi- Rudradeer (Rudra) Khanna, 17, Wasim Manji, 16, and Waruru Wachira, 17 to register a company under a brand, Nomadic. While his friends deal with accounts, marketing and production , his work is to come up with designs.
Two years later, Mo is hopeful that Nomadic is destined for greatness and apart from the pants has ventured into harems and shorts. At tonight’s fashion show, organised by Sonu and Sanjeev Sharma of Just Like That, Nomadic will showcase its full range of designs including trousers, harems and shorts. Sonu, who is the organiser of Kenya Fashion Week had this to say,
“The energy of this group is contagious and we knew they deserved a national platform on which to showcase their creativity,
Mo has personally designed all 10 Nomadic outfits that will be showcased- Formal, casual and beachwear which will be worn by models this evening.
