We are looking to recruit a distribution & special projects coordinator who will be responsible for developing, expanding and monitoring Shujaaz activities and research within the distribution network, in Tanzania.


Key Responsibilities      
Distribution Monitoring and Expansion
·    Manage all channels of distribution of all Shujaaz media, except radio
·    Make sure that our media get to the target audience in good quality and time.
·    Continually maintain and strengthen relationships with existing comic book distribution channels and other channels through partners that may emerge.
·    Obtain and channel back to WTS timely feedback from Shujaaz distributors to input into the production process and content.
·    Monitor and provide continuous feedback that provesthat the distributors actually distribute the media as required, ensuring that the ‘last mile’ is successfully reached.
·    Explore alternative additional distribution networks for the Shujaaz media.
·    Keep records of all distributed merchandise.
·    Be available at all times to represent Well Told Story and deal with any distribution-related issues.
·    Be available to support the Country Manager and senior teams in the fulfilment of duties in Dar es Salaam and elsewhere in Tz.

Research Network
·    Maintain strong and active network of researchers within the Shujaaz distribution network and among other networks.
·    Engage with any new special projects involving research within the distribution network.
·    Provide management and logistical support to on-the-ground research activities undertaken in Tz by the K&L team
·    Ensure strong communication and links with the K&L team in Tz and in Ke.

Financial Responsibilities
·    Controlling and monitoring the distribution process and 100% adherence to the set distribution budget.
·    Cost vs value for money analysis in the distribution process and advise finance accordingly.
·    Will be accountable, defend and support relationship building budget, amounts to be agreed with the finance manager   
 
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience required for this Role      

·    Communication: The ability to effectively present ideas—both verbally and visually.The ability to engage with a wide range of partners – from senior company management to kiosk operators.
·    Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative and work independently and deliver results without supervision.
·    Proficiency in Microsoft office specifically Excel
·    Good negotiation skills, Strong relationship building and communication skills.
·    Excellent organisational skills and the ability to oversee projects from conception to delivery.
·    Detail focused, with good documentation, finance and record keeping skills
·    Flexibility in working hours: happy to work evenings/weekends/travel in Tanzania and the region.
·    Fluency in both Kiswahili and English
·    A team player.
